It was the Ralph Hall rink that took top honours in the New Horizons' spring draw. They were a half game up on the Bob Krismer's foursome, and a full game up on Ed Kjargaard's group.

Curling with Ralph were Karl Kropf of Wilkie playing third, Doug Hall at second with Jean Schwan throwing first rocks. The champions' last game against Peter Pauls was close and it was midway through the game before they took the lead.

The winners March 13 were Hagen, Hall, Kjargaard, Krismer, Raycraft, Rogers and Scott. Most of the games were close with the top half coming out on top. It was good to see no team was soundly defeated at any time even although the team selections were made out of a hat.

March 20, there was a mini money tournament with each team playing three four-end games. The winner of each game will receive one third of the entry fee. If you loose you only get a sixth. Win all three games and you get your money back, loose all three and you're out a dollar a game - big money action!
