The New Horizons brought curling to a close March 26 when they held a mini-money spiel with everyone playing a minimum of three games.
No one came away rich, nor was there anyone destitute when the last rock was thrown.
Midway through the day the annual meeting of the New Horizons Club was held. The highlight of the meeting was the decision of the club members to donate $2,500 to the Twin Rivers Curling Club in recognition of playing in the excellent facilities, even though curling is not a profitable club activity. An example of the excellence was the wonderful lunch at the halftime break that was prepared by Thomas Baron, the food manager.
