After winning the first game of the best-of-three playoff series, the Battlefords Bantam AA Barons are preparing for their most important game of the season.

The Barons are up against the Prince Albert Raiders in the first round of playoffs.

In game one, the Barons beat Prince Albert 10-6 at Battleford Arena. The Barons fell behind 4-0 seven minutes into the game, but eventually had an offensive explosion and earned the win to take control of the series.

Brandon Lesko scored a power play goal late in the first period and that kick started the offence.

The Barons scored three straight goals in the second period to tie the game those coming from Jayden Nachtagaele, Blake Fennig and Nachtagaele again.

Prince Albert regained the lead minutes later, but Sielsky, Keegan Tiringer and Drake Teer scored for the Barons to put them in front and they wouldn't look back.

Nachtagaele completed the hat trick in the third period, while Teer and Lesko also scored for Battlefords.

Nachtagaele finished the game with five points while Lesko had four and Tiringer, Sielsky and Teer had three each.

Sunday in Prince Albert, the Raiders again jumped out to the 4-0 lead and this time didn't fall behind. Nachtagaele and Teer scored to make it a 4-2 game in the second period, but Prince Albert responded with two more goals of their own.

Sielsky scored before the second period buzzer and Nachtagaele scored in the third period, but it wasn't enough as the Barons fell 7-4.

Game three is set for Wednesday at the Battleford Arena.
