The New Horizons golfing season is coming fast to a close. Monday, 45 came out to play on a cool but sunny day.That was eight more than the average for the past season.
The wind up for the season is next Monday afternoon after which there is a banquet at the North Battleford Golf and Country Club.
The winners for the final morning session were Norm Soiseth, Bea Prutti, Joe Gabruch and Herman Friesen.They didn't mind the cool weather and came in at one under par.
The top team was one up on the next two teams.In second place, on a count-back, were Lori Stark, Don Dament, Bruce Dalshaug and Ken Holiday.They birdied the last two holes to win over David Page, Bernie Gregoire and Wally Gordey.
The consolation winners Monday were John MacFarlane, Don Dill and Jim Fraser.
The second place team also watched Dalshaug take the prize for coming closest to the pin on eight and Holiday getting his car washed courtesy of the Co-op for having the longest putt on nine.
