Nine teams participated in the Twin Rivers Curling Club 82nd annual River Rockers Bonspiel.
The women's bonspiel was moved up earlier in the season this time around, but it was still great curling. Fun was had by all the teams in the Northland Power Curling Centre, which housed the women's bonspiel for the first time. This year's theme was Fun in the Sun Women's Bonspiel.
Nicole Beausoleil finished first after round robin play and faced the Kristi Frolek rink in the one versus two final. Beausoleil continued her strong play, capturing the final.
In the third versus fourth place final, Jillian Schommer faced Beth Baxter. It was Baxter's rink coming out on top.
Charlene Shutra won the fifth versus sixth place final over Colleen Voinorosky.
In the seventh versus eighth place final, Barb Clark beat Rita Peterson.
Carol Oke was also entered in the tournament and finished ninth after the round robin.
Beausoleil's team also won the shootout score with a mark of 77 inches.
The curling rink will continue to be a busy place with juvenile playdowns this weekend and the men's bonspiel the following weekend.
