For the second time this season, Michael Gudmandson has been named the SJHL's goaltender of the week for the period ending Jan. 5.
During this time frame, Gudmandson picked up two wins against the Humboldt Broncos, his former team. He made 37 saves in a 4-0 shutout Friday night, followed by stopping 34 shots in a 5-3 win Saturday night.
Gudmandson, from Sherwood Park, Alta., has a 9-2 record on the season with three shutouts after being acquired from the Neepawa Natives of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. He has a goals-against average of 1.63 and a .953 save percentage.
Gudmandson previously won the award for the period ending Nov. 24.
