HLST swimmers medal at Swift Current provincials

It's been a good summer for local swimmers.The Humboldt Legion Swim Team has recorded stellar results in 2010.Provincial semi-finals were held in Biggar on July 24.

Humboldt Legion Swim Team members recorded great results at this year's Provincials, held in Swift Current on July 31. The team won the trophy for Small Club with High Points, and members brought home a wealth of individual and relay medals. It's been a good summer for local swimmers.The Humboldt Legion Swim Team has recorded stellar results in 2010.Provincial semi-finals were held in Biggar on July 24. Fifteen members of the HLST attended, and all qualified for the Provincial competition held July 31 in Swift Current. Though only 13 of the 15 swimmers were able to make it to Provincials, Humboldt still won the trophy for Small Club with High Points.Ten members of the club came home with medals. Jett Tuchscherer put in a fantastic performance in the boys' 13-14 category, bringing home three gold medals and two silver in individual events, and two bronze medals in relays. Tuchscherer also won the Aggregate Award for his age group.Shane Bendal won a gold, a silver, and three bronze in the boys' 18 and over individual events, and two gold medals in relays.Justin Berscheid won two bronze in Boys' 9-10 individual events, and a gold and a bronze in relays.Maya Berscheid won a silver and a bronze in the girls' 9-10 relays.Michael Carnago won two gold, two silver and a bronze in the boys' 11-12 individual events, and claimed four bronze medals in the relays.Drew Dillabough won two bronze medals in the boys' 11-12 relays. Elliot Dillabough won one gold medal in the boys' 9-10 relays.Nicole Haeusler won two silver in the girls' 18 and over relays.Taylor Linz claimed a bronze medal in the girls' 9-10 relays.Calum McAnally won two bronze in the boys' 13-14 relays.Also competing at Provincials were Avery Dillabough in the girls' 13-14 category, and Eilish McAnally and Abigail Seidle, both in the girls' 11-12 category.
