Snow be hard to find with the recent weather conditions, but several young skiers made the most of Table Mountain and the snow there during the Alpine Saskatchewan SaskTel Sask Cup races on the weekend.

Saturday, 44 racers took the slopes in the slalom races with the majority of the skiers from the Table Mountain Ski and Board Club.

Of the 10 who raced in the E2 division for female skiers from age eight to 10, the top nine were from the local club. Amy Lacoursiere finished first with Seairra Stapleton, Nadine Fehr, Abbey Neufeld, Mackenna Vany, Kathleen Abrahamson, Emily Simon, Shayna Fehr, Dominique Heidel and Emma Young placing behind Amy.

Amy was a double winner on the weekend, as she also was first in Sunday's race. Nadine was second followed by Seairra, Abbey, Shayna, Mackenna, Kathleen, Rowan Tkatchuk, Dominique, Emily and Bailey Coulter.

In the male E2 event it was Connor Coulter taking first place. Brycen Beaman, Joshua Beaman and Mitchell Harris finished second, third and fourth and Matthew Spanier was seventh.

Connor was first Sunday as well with Brycen, Joshua, Mitchell and Matthew finishing in the same order. Jonah Simon, another local skier, also competed in Sunday's race.

In the female 11 and 12 division, Keira Epp was the lone local representative and raced Sunday placing third.

Devin Mcallister won both days in the male 11 and 12 division. Saturday, locals Eli Klassen, Liam Tkatchuk, Louis Lacoursiere, Samuel Neufeld, Tyson Wawryk and Garrett Musgrave finished behind Devin.

Sunday's order behind Devin was Louis, Eli, Liam, Garrett, Samuel and Tyson.

Zoe Schultz won the female 13 and 14 division Saturday while Sarah Loy edged her out Sunday.

On the male side of the 13 and 14 category, R.J. Cook took top honours Saturday and was followed by Ryan Abrahamson, Taylor Musgrave and two non-local skiers.

Sunday, Keifer Cosh was the lone representative from Table Mountain racing and finished fourth.

Both female 15 and 16 division races were won by out of region skiers, but Sunday Megan Jones of Table Mountain placed second.

Saturday, Joshua Spanier finished third in the male 15 and 16 division.

Sarah Jones was the lone racer in the female 17 to 19 division and raced Sunday to a first place finish.

Races were also held for the male 17 to 19 category and Para-Alpine, but no Table Mountain skiers took part.

Table Mountain will host another Sask Cup Race Jan. 21 and 22 where many of these local skiers will once again race down the snow, real or manmade, covering the ski hill.
