It was just another week and another four wins for the Battlefords North Stars.

Their continued success has led to more personal praise, four players received honourable mentions for the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League's Players of the Week awards.

The North Stars' leading scorer Blake Tatchell and linemate Braeden Johnson were honourable mentions for the player of the week. Tatchell had three goals, six assists and a shootout goal in four games. Johnson had four goals, including a hat trick against Kindersley and three assists in four games.

The winner of the SJHL player of the week award was Ian McNulty of Melville. McNulty had four goals and five assists in three games. Russell Trudeau of Melville and Weyburn's Jesse Ross were also honourable mentions.

Jens Johnson of Weyburn was the defenceman of the week, as he had one goal and four assists in three games last week.

Battlefords' Woody Klassen was an honourable mention. Klassen had a goal and two assists in four games and now has three goals on the season since returning to the North Stars. Austin Yano of Estevan, Carson Grolla of Notre Dame and Cole Horn of Melfort were also honourable mentions for the defenceman honour.

Between the pipes, Jesse Wilkins of Melfort was named the league's top goalie last week, as he stopped 78 of 82 shots and was 0-1-1-0.

Graham Hildebrand, who had a win in regulation and a shootout win during the week, was an honourable mention, as he stopped 47 shots in two games. Weyburn's Mitch Kilgore, Humboldt's Deven Dubyk and Melville's Blake Voth were honourable mentions as well.

In the Canadian Junior Hockey League's top 20 rankings, once again the Battlefords North Stars are the lone SJHL team on the list. The North Stars moved from sixth to fifth on the list behind the Woodstock Slammers of the MJHL, Spruce Grove Saints of the AJHL, Penticton Vees of the BCHL and Fort McMurray Oil Barons of the AJHL.

The North Stars are just one of eight teams across the country in 10 junior A hockey leagues to have 20 or more wins by Nov. 20.
