The Battleford Horseshoe Club held their season wind-up Oct. 5 with an afternoon of play at the horseshoe pits.
All members were present and they faced off with a round of doubles and a chance to beat their average points of the season.
In the doubles it was Howard Weitzel and Marlene Ironstand at the top, with Marg Kemp and Doreen Dudek on their heels. Third place went to Vern Bannerman and Roy Chilibeck.
Pitching above their average points were: Kemp, with plus 10; Weitzel, with plus seven; and Dudek and Ironstand, with plus five respectively.
In the regular league, the top three season's best were Peter Dudek, Doreen Dudek and Weitzel. And in the Loonie League, the top three were Weitzel, Peter Dudek and William Wintonyk.
At the conclusion of the final play, the awards were presented by president Marg Kemp, after which the members and some associate members gathered at O'Grady's Restaurant for a delicious dinner before saying goodbye to another enjoyable season of horseshoe pitching.
