And that night, they played the Melville Millionaires in Melville.
This time, though the Broncos outshot the Mils 40 to 38, they ended up on the losing end of a 1-0 score.
The only goal of the game was scored in the final minute of a five-minute overtime period, by TJ Reeve of the Mils. Deven Dubyk was in net for the Broncos.
There was more action on the penalty side. Tyler Bird of the Mils was boxed for two minutes and out of the game for 10 for a blow to the head early in the second.
A fight broke out later in the second between William Plourde of the Broncos and Andre Parker of the Mils. Both were given five for fighting at 12:59.
Both teams failed to score on the power play - Humboldt was zero for four, and Melville zero for one.
