Win and you're in the final, lose and your season is done. That is what faced the four remaining teams in the Battlefords Senior Soccer Association men's and ladies' leagues.

Tuesday, the men took to the field for quarter-final action and MNG, Thunderchild and Poundmaker all advanced, joining Athletico, who got a first round bye in the semi finals.

MNG won 5-3 over the Lean Man Grizzlies, Thunderchild won 4-3 against Sweetgrass and Poundmaker won 6-0 over FC Elite, who showed up with just eight players.

All eight ladies' teams played Wednesday night and all four games were one-goal games. The Little Pine Ladies won 1-0 over Poundmaker, the Power Kickers won 1-0 against the Mosquito Yellowbirds, the Bangies upset the Silver Bullets 1-0 and Magic Mist won 2-1 in a shootout over the Benchwarmers.

Looking back at the regular season, which ended last week, the stats were tallied to determine the top scorers. In the ladies' league, the top striker was Kayla Bernier of the Benchwarmers, who had 18 goals. Tammy Moosomin of the Power Kickers had 17 goals and Serena Checkosis of the Little Pine Ladies had 15 goals.

On the men's side, Stevie Wuttunee of Athletico had 24 goals. Dakota Tootoosis of Poundmaker had 16 and Jamie Wahobin of MNG had 14 goals.
