The New Horizons came to the halfway point of the spring session last week and the results were interesting.

In the morning draw, Allie Raycraft's team gave the Rogers group a scare as she was three up coming home. The end result was a 10-10 tie. So the tie means Allan Rogers along with Bernie Meisner, John Chomyn and Bill Thom remain undefeated at the mid-point of the season.

Bob Krismer had no pity on the Lee MacKay's rink and scored the only lopsided win of the day.

Gordey and Russell were tied coming home and with Ralph Hall skipping, it was the Gordey rink who came out on top.

The afternoon draw had four games that were rather close. That is to say, any team could of won on the final end. Doug Belyk had Ralph Hall tied up in the eighth end to win. Dick Horrell won over Gord Hagen. Ed Kjargaard was victorious against Dick Wisner. The last game to finish was Peter Pauls trying a most difficult shot over Alexander Scott. He was a little narrow but nonetheless it was close.
