Although they were not able to earn the top spot at the Masters Men's Curling in Region 14, the local rink of Wally O'Hare, Bryan Peever, Doug Puff and Allan Rogers will be moving on.
Maidstone hosted the Region 14 qualifiers and the Battlefords rink was one of two teams to advance to the Masters Provincials in Melfort Feb. 15 to 19.
The Kindersley team of John Fiest, Rod St. John, Frank Kutchera and Terry Motz earned the 14A qualifying spot.
Saskatchewan Curling Association events this weekend include Affinity CU Senior Men's Northern and Southern Playdowns. The northern event will take place in Kindersley while the southern event will be held in Carlyle. The Senior Women's Q Spiel 4 will also be underway in Rosetown.
