Four local skaters have qualified for the upcoming Saskatchewan Winter Games in Prince Albert Feb. 16-19.
Corrine Sokul, Kira Tollefson, Cortni Millhouse and Jalissa Klippenstein all advanced to compete in Prince Albert.
Sokul travels from Lloydminster to train in the Battlefords. She has jumped five divisions in one year, from the lowest preliminary competition level to the pre-novice level.
Tollefson and Klippenstein have been skating since a young age and put in as much time in training as possible. Both skaters work hard and are trying to achieve personal bests.
Millhouse came from Cut Knife out of Canskate. She puts a great amount of time in to on and off ice training. Her long-term goal is to be a high level competitor in figure skating.
The rundowns for qualification were held last weekend in Warman.
