Three players who didn't play in the Saskatchewan Bantam AA Hockey League this season, but made the zone team were Brandt Bertoia of Lloydminster, who played with the Unity Lazers, Jadyn Trimble of Meadow Lake and Michael Hyde of Rosetown.
Many of those players will now be, or have attended, Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League camps. Many of the Zone 7 players will likely hit the ice this weekend at the Don Ross Arena for the Battlefords Midget Stars' camp.
Along with the players being evaluated on the ice in Regina, the officials were as well and one local official was rewarded with the honour of working the tournament A final. Jordan Gay of the Battlefords was selected to referee the final and will also attend the Western Hockey League's Development Camp for officials in June. This will be the second season for Gay to attend the WHL camp.
