After taking the 1-0 series lead, the Battlefords Bantam AA Barons found themselves in a do-or-die situation against the Prince Albert Raiders.
The Barons lost game tow of the best-of-three series in Prince Albert Sunday. Game three was played Wednesday at the Battleford Arena and the Barons had a strong second half of the game that lifted them to a 7-3 win.
The win advances the Barons to the North Division semifinal against West Central, who were first in the division with a 22-3-2 record. The Barons were 12-11-4 during the regular season. In the other North Division semifinal, North East and Sask Valley will face off. In the South Division, the Regina Pat Blues, Swift Current, Prairie Storm and Yorkton team remain.
