The Bantam and Midget versions of the Muenster Flyers both won the B provincials. The Bantam team, coached by Jay McGrath, defeated the similarly named Esterhazy Flyers in the Saskatchewan Hockey Association's Bantam B provincial final, 4-3 in double overtime.

Kalvin Rueve scored the winning goal just over a minute into the second overtime, sending the fans in the stands and the players on the ice into a state of ecstasy.

The Muenster Midget Flyers, coached by Clint Berscheid, also took home the provincial B title. On their way to a final showdown with Redvers they defeated Nipawin, Preeceville and Delisle. The final against Redvers didn't start well, as Muenster was defeated 4-3 in the opening game, which they played on the road. The second game, played in Muenster, was won 3-0 by the Flyers and secured their win via a superior goal differential.

All told, it was an outstanding run for Muenster hockey at both age levels.
