A North Battleford Comprehensive High School curling team curled 56 endsbetween Feb. 9 and Feb. 14, and turned a few heads along the way.

Skip Cole Tenetiuk and teammates third Dion Tederoff, second Morgan Hadley and lead Taylor Primeau took part in the annual men's bonspiel in Unity this past weekend.

The foursome started out the competition with a big lead, however, the opposition battled back and they lost by the last rock on the last end in their opening match. They captured a win in their second game.

They lost their opening match Saturday, but rallied with back to back wins putting them in to Sunday's C final. They garnered much attention with their fearless play and consistent shot making.

Tenetiuk's rink returned to Unity Feb. 13 in their quest for a district high school title, which they captured Feb 14, coming through undefeated and winning the A side.

They move on to regional playdowns, also held in Unity on Feb. 17 and 18.

The team is coached by NBCHS teacher, Evan Reid.
