NBGCC champions crowned

The battle to be crowned North Battleford Golf and Country Club champion started in June for the men and last week a winner was declared. This year, instead of a club championship tournament, the format to crown a champion was match play.

The battle to be crowned North Battleford Golf and Country Club champion started in June for the men and last week a winner was declared.

This year, instead of a club championship tournament, the format to crown a champion was match play.

In the championship flight, Brett Harrison continued his strong season of golf with a win over Brian Lampitt. The consolation championship flight winner was Graham Campbell over Tim Sletten.

Lee Ulmer beat Keith Scherr in the senior championship division. The senior consolation winner was Dr. Ahmad, who beat Jim Millar.

In the first flight, Marty Friedrich beat Scott Heroux and in the consolation match, Barry Verhoeven beat Randy Graham.

On the women's side, the championship was decided on the weekend with Deanna Klusa finishing with a two-round total of 160. At 171, Rhonda Siedel placed second.

On the senior ladies' side, Marj Muth won with a two-round total of 176. Second place went to Janet George with a 177.
