The Battlefords Minor Hockey Association held its annual general meeting last week and new volunteers began to fill the vacant spots on the board.

The new president will be Dean Dimmick. He will be serving a two-year term with Mike Neave remaining on the board as the vice-president.

The past president is Mark Preifer while the other executive positions were filled by secretary Helen Germann and treasurer Barb Heidt.

Also five of nine director positions were filled Wednesday. Dwayne Weber remains on the board, as the director of officials. John Jangula is the director of Saskatchewan Hockey Association communications. Lorrieann Frohlich, Sylvester Gardipy and Gord Pepple filled the atom, peewee and bantam division director positions. One-year directors positions remain open for initiation, novice and midget and the two-year position as director of representative hockey is also still vacant.

The BMHA equipment manager is Leon Schmidt.

Dimmick said not much was discussed at the annual general meeting, but later this month the new board will have their first meeting together. He expects that will be a blueprint for the summer and what is expected from the board for the 2012-13 hockey season as well as the beginning of the process of higher the developmental coaches for next season.
