After missing a week because of rain, 42 golfers from the New Horizons were out to play Monday.
Jutta and Lyle Whitbread along with Don Dill and Brian Miller topped the scoring and came in at one under par. In second place at even par were the McNabbs who were teamed with Faye Carson and Herman Friesen. Wally McNabb helped the cause after being closest to the pin on number eight.
In third place, on a count back, at one over was John Chomyn, Hank Nickel, Norm Soiseth and John Dove.
A long putt on the ninth hole by Miller was what earned him bragging rights and the Co-op car wash for this week.
The New Horizons do not play next Monday because of the holiday, but will be out Thursday, Aug. 2.They will carry on playing on Thursday the following week as well.
