The average number of New Horizons who golf each week at the North Battleford Golf and Country Club is 36. Monday, there was one more than the average.

Those who made the teams for the scramble did a good job this week, as all the scores were close and the winners were determine on a count back.

A birdie on nine placed the team of Merv Zulynik, Herman Friesen and Bernie Meisner on top edging out Norm Soiseth, John Dove and Joe Waldbillig. Both came in at one over.

Next in the standings with a 38 were Art Strueby, Lynn Williams, Ralph Soiseth and Dick Blom.

Strueby had a long, long putt on nine to win the Co-op car wash. Wally Scott wins a ball for his shot on hole eight, which was the closest to the pin.

The consolation winners for this week was the team comprising of Nester Brunwald, Ken Holliday, John Chomyn and Hank Nickel a couple of strokes back.

The New Horizons will not play this Monday because of the long weekend, but instead they will hit the links Thursday, Sept. 6 starting at 9:30 a.m.
