North Battleford Beavers are rolling now

After an 0-3 start to the season, the North Battleford Beavers have won three straight and are in the middle of the North Saskatchewan River Baseball League standings.

After an 0-3 start to the season, the North Battleford Beavers have won three straight and are in the middle of the North Saskatchewan River Baseball League standings.

The Beavers played their second game in as many nights and beat the Unity Midget A's 19-6.

In the battle of the only two winless teams, the St. Walburg Reds earned the 11-10 win against the Midwest Expos. The Reds are 1-7 on the season while the Expos are 0-4.

In Wilkie Russ Nielsen had a no-hitter going after 6 1/3 innings, but allowed two hits as Wilkie beat Standard Hill 4-1.

In Lloydminster, the Border City Blue Jays won 5-0 against the Mervin Flyers. The Flyers have dropped to 3-4 while the Jays are 3-3.

Friday, the Lloydminster Meridian Twins play the Lloydminster Junior Redhawks and The Kindersley Raiders are in Unity to play the Cardinals.
