The acquisition of goaltender Harroch should help the North Stars keep even more pucks out of the net this SJHL season.

NORTH BATTLEFORD - In a bid to boost their goaltending ranks, the Battlefords North Stars have acquired Michael Harroch from the BCHL.

The SJHL club announced Monday they had acquired Harroch in a trade with the Cranbrook Bucks. In return the Bucks get a player development fee.

In acquiring Harroch, the North Stars add a veteran 20-year old goaltender to their roster with ample previous SJHL experience.

The Bucks had acquired Harroch this summer from the Humboldt Broncos, where he had been on the roster for two seasons, with the Bucks trading forward Christian Lowe in return.

With the Broncos, Harroch had played 21 regular season games and two playoff games. In the regular season Harroch has posted a 3.08 goals against average, and a .906 save percentage. Harroch is originally from North Vancouver, BC.
