The Battlefords North Stars partnered with the Heart and Stroke Foundation over the last two weeks and helped to raise $710.50 for the foundation.
At the final regular season home game, Heart and Stroke had a table set up to collect donations. Along with the donations collected that night, the North Stars players canvassed the Panton Avenue neighbourhood Thursday night to collect donations.
The North Stars also donated a pink jersey, which was on display at their home games during February and was up for silent auction. Finally, the North Stars donated all the proceeds from the final Rainbow Toyota puck toss to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
"The North Stars are happy to be able to partner with a great organization like the Heart and Stroke Foundation," said North Stars marketing and office manager Trent Cey. "We want to thank everyone who donated and opened their doors to the players to help raise money for the foundation."
