A total of 18 teams of 82 competitors took part in the fun weekend at the North Battleford Golf and Country Club to help raise money for the North Stars organization. The tournament took on a Texas Scramble format and various prizes were awarded for closest-to-the-pin, longest drive and so on.

Several past and present players and members of the North Stars organization were out on the course in full force. While the tournament saw all kinds of displays of golf - both very good and very bad - competitors had a good time. The day wrapped up with a steak supper at the Air Cadets Hall in North Battleford.

There were some familiar names announced as winners at this year's tournament. The winning team consisted of coach Ken Pearson, assistant coach Blair Atcheynum, Jim Sack, Bernard Richard and Rob Connoly.

In the category "Re/Max Closest to the Balloon," Mike Zaychkowsky successfully landed his golf ball closest to the balloon parked in the middle of the course.

The early bird prize went to Derek Keller, with prize donated by Phoenix Source for Sports.

Jordan Hanson won the men's longest drive category. The ladies' longest drive winner was Elaine Oak. Men's closest to the pin was won by Al Early, while ladies' closest to the pin prize was won by Brit Penner.
