The pre-season schedule is out for the Battlefords North Stars.
The SJHL released their schedule this past week. In total, the North Stars will have five pre-season games, four of them at home. But their first contest will be across the border.
They begin their exhibition campaign Sept. 1 in Frog Lake, Alta., where they will take on the AJHL’s Bonnyville Pontiacs at 7:30 p.m.
The following night, Sunday, Sept. 2, the North Stars are at home at 6 p.m. for their first home preseason game at the Civic Centre, also against the Pontiacs.
On Monday night, Sept. 3, the North Stars host Kindersley at 6 p.m. at the Civic Centre for the first pre-season game against an SJHL club. This is the all-rookie game.
On Friday, Sept. 7, the North Stars host La Ronge at the Civic Centre. Game time is 7:30 p.m. The two teams then meet again the following day for a 2 p.m. afternoon contest at the Civic Centre, which will wrap up the pre-season for the North Stars.
The SJHL regular season begins Sept. 14, as the North Stars host the Kindersley Klippers at the Civic Centre.
