Fan's can argue mustaches have been a part of hockey as long as body checking, scoring and the puck itself.

Movember, as it is known to those involved, has grown more popular over the past five years and not only is it a way for hockey players to bond, but more importantly raise money and awareness for men's health.

The Battlefords North Stars posted an impressive 9-1-0-1 record during November, and also, through the team's Movember campaign, raised $1,674.59.

Zach McLellan was one of the major money raisers, earning $200 and edging out Dillon Forbes, who raised $195.

The question of who had the best mustache can be debated after examining the team photo from Nov. 30, but many had to give the upper hand to Forbes and his defence partner Travis Sparrow for their old fashioned handle bar mustaches.

The team is thankful for the support through donations and now hopes that, although their top lips may be bare now, fans continue to support this group of 17-to 20-years-old who supported a worthy cause.
