Three Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League teams remain in the Canadian Junior Hockey League's weekly rankings, but some major moves occurred for the teams last week.

The Flin Flon Bombers fell from second to 10th in the standings while Yorkton moved from 20th to sixth. The Melville Millionaires also remain on the list, moving from seventh to eighth this week. The defending SJHL champion Humboldt Broncos were also an honourable mention this week.

Leading the standings again this week are the Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League.

As the Terriers moved up the rankings on the CJHL list they also overtook the Flin Flon Bombers for the top spot in the SJHL's Source Embroidery Power Rankings. The Terriers are the first team other than Flin Flon to sit on top of the rankings and hold a league leading 9-1-0-1 record.

Flin Flon dropped all the way to fourth while Humbodlt moved into the second spot with an 8-2-1-1 record and Melville holds the third spot.

The Battlefords North Stars moved up one spot from seventh to eighth.

Weyburn is locked into the last spot on the standings once again with a 3-10-0-0 record.

Canalta Players of the Week

It was a bit of a slow start for Battlefords North Stars forward Josh Betinol, but he has been on a hot streak and was named the league's rookie of the week for Oct. 15 to 22.

The speedy North Stars' forward had a goal and three assists in two games last week and continued his point streak since attending the SJHL Evaluation Camp in Humboldt earlier in October. It was a good camp for Betinol, as he drew some attention from coach Dean Brockman and his staff and now has seven points in nine games for the North Stars.

Two other players of the week were Betinol's opponents, as Humboldt Bronco Kameron Ballas was the defenceman of the week and his teammate Luke Lee Knight was the goaltender of the week.

Lee Knight didn't play against the North Stars, but shut out Kindersley twice making a combined 61 saves.

Ballas had two goals and three assists in three games last week, as Humboldt won all three of their games. Ballas's five points last week accumulate to 100 per cent of his points this season.

Ryan Ostertag of Weyburn was named the player of the week. He was recently traded from Nipawin to Weyburn. He recorded five goals and three assists in two games on the weekend and has a total of five goals and seven assists in six games with the Red Wings. He has eight goals and seven assists on the season.
