The final four teams are now set in stone for the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League playoffs.
With a 3-0 shutout win on the road over the Melfort Mustangs Saturday, the Humboldt Broncos punched their ticket into the semifinal for the first time in four seasons with a 4-1 series victory.
As a result, the Battlefords North Stars will take on the Estevan Bruins and the Broncos will gear up to face the Nipawin Hawks in a pair of best-of-seven matchups.
The start dates for both matchups are not set in stone, but are expected to begin on Good Friday at the latest.
Parker Tobin stopped all 37 shots he faced to give the Broncos the series clinching win over the Mustangs, with goals coming from Jaxon Joseph, Logan Schatz and Nick Shumlanski.
The Broncos and the Hawks previously met in the post-season one year ago, when the Hawks swept their opponents in the quarter-final.
The Hawks won all six meetings with the Broncos in the regular season.
Meanwhile, the North Stars will take their 16-game playoff win streak into their matchup with the Bruins, who they swept in the semis last spring on their way to the Canalta Cup.
The regular season series between the two sides was dead even at three wins apiece.
