The wind picked up for the third day of the SGI CANADA Saskatchewan Junior Men's Championship in Warman and effected all golfers' scores.

Justin Wood of Unity was able to stay composed and finished tied for second place, one stroke back of the leader Cory Selander. Wood shot 75 during both the first and second rounds and shot an 85 Wednesday to finish 19 over par.

Wood's second place finish helped him qualify for Team Saskatchewan, which will travel to Bridgewater, N.S. for the 2012 Canadian Junior Boys' Championship at Osprey Ridge Golf Club July 31 to Aug. 3.

Kristian Houk of North Battleford also competed at The Legends in Warman this week and finished tied for 70th with a +61 mark.

One the women's side of the provincial championship, Danielle Blackmer of Maidstone finished fourth after shooting 91-87-92. Blackmer was three strokes out of third place and four out of second place.
