NSRBL MVP results are in

The results are in and the North Battleford Beavers can officially say they have the best player in the league on their roster. Rylan Rogers was voted as the 2010 North Saskatchewan River Baseball League's Most Valuable Player.

The results are in and the North Battleford Beavers can officially say they have the best player in the league on their roster.

Rylan Rogers was voted as the 2010 North Saskatchewan River Baseball League's Most Valuable Player.

Rogers has been a cornerstone for the Beavers since they returned to the league and his strong pitching performances warranted the honour.

"It's pretty cool to win and nice to know host the other players around the league think of you as a player," said Rogers.

In second place, was the league's top batter Troy Winterhalt of the Lloydminster Meridian Twins.

Third place went to Quincey Winkler of the Meadow Lake White Sox.

Rogers makes it three years in a row, that a pitcher has won the award. Last season, it was Colby Field of the Border City Blue Jays and in 2008, Brad Frehlich won the award with the Wilkie Midgets. That year the MVP process was different then it is now - the current system has each team submit their team MVP and from that list the teams vote and submit their top three picks for the award.
