The North Saskatchewan River Baseball League is off to a roaring start in 2021.

As of Monday the Kindersley Stallions were leading the league with a 3-0 record, ahead of the 2-1 Unity Jr. Cardinals, and all teams in the league have their first games in.

The season began June 6 with the Cardinals hammering the Meadow Lake Sox 8-1. June 8 the North Battleford Beavers got their season started on the road, losing to Standard Hill 12-5.

Meanwhile the Battlefords Trappers had their home opener the same night. They lost 8-3 to Kindersley.

On June 9 the Beavers had their home opener with an all-Battlefords matchup versus the Trappers. The Trappers ended up winning the game, 3-2.

The latest games Sunday saw Kindersley beat Meadow Lake 11-3 and then beat St. Walburg 13-3.

In games this week the Beavers play Macklin on the road Tuesday and the Trappers play in Unity Wednesday. The Beavers host Meadow Lake Thursday and Trappers host Wilkie Friday.
