The Lisa Chambers juvenile curling rink competed in North Battleford at the Northland Power Curling Centre March 8 and 9 and from there moved on to provincials in Shaunavon.
Lisa Chambers along with Morgan Nyholt, Tessa Briscoe and Samantha McKee and coach Colleen Voinorosky were back on the sheets last weekend for provincials.
Chambers had a dominating first game with an 8-1 win over Angela Hookenson.
In their second game, Chambers and Kristen Steifel traded ones through the entire game and it was Streifel scoring the final single point in the eighth end with the hammer to win 4-3.
That loss knocked the Chambers rink down to the B event and there they beat Shelby Silzer 9-5.
Saturday afternoon, Chambers was up 4-3 after six ends, but fell 6-4 to Brooke Tokarz and was bumped down to the C event.
Like they had all weekend, Chambers and her mates followed up a loss with a win, as they beat Kaitlyn Jones 6-2 Saturday evening.
Next, with a shot at the page playoff on the line, Chambers came up short losing 8-3 to Streifel. After giving up five in the first two ends it was too much to overcome for the Twin Rivers Curling Club team.
Another Twin River juvenile team, skipped by Mathew Taylor, competed in the open juvenile championship, also in Shaunavon.
Taylor went 2-1 in the round robin after a 7-5 win over Layne Hawrylak, a 9-4 win over Nathan Macneil and a 9-6 loss to Brendan Ross.
In the playoffs, Taylor beat Nicholas McGregor 7-2 to advance to the championship. In the final, Taylor couldn't settle in and gave up points in six of the seven ends, losing 7-1.
