Each district or region in Saskatchewan could send four wrestlers per weight class to the 2013 Saskatchewan High School Athletic Association provincial championship at the University of Regina this weekend.

Each district or region in Saskatchewan could send four wrestlers per weight class to the 2013 Saskatchewan High School Athletic Association provincial championship at the University of Regina this weekend.

Some wrestlers had a full slate of competitors to pin while others had just three or four in their class, but no matter how many were competing there was elite talent at every level.

McLurg High School's Kyle Risling competed in the boy's 56kg class with 12 other wrestlers. Risling fought his way to a provincial silver medal.

McLurg's Austin Heinz won bronze in the 98 kg division, which had 10 wrestlers.

James Grbic of Wilkie was fifth in the 130 kg division, which featured nine wrestlers.

Wilkie finished second in 3A boys' overall points, as Evan Hardy was first with 22 points. Wilkie had 14 points for second place. Holy Cross had a championship team at the 4A division with 85 overall points in the male divisions.

Points are awarded to each wrestler who finishes in the top six in their weight class.

Taylor Reiley, the senior from North Battleford Comprehensive High School finished fifth in the 65 kg division.

Other Battle West boys competing were Wilkie's Dustin Davies, who wrestled in the 59 kg division and Mark Karstens of Wilkie who competed in the 69 kg division.

In the girls' division, McLurg's Taylor Hoffman was fifth in the 64 kg competition while Shawnie Johnson, also from Wilkie, competed in the same weight class.

Taisley Isaac competed in the 12-person 60 kg division and represented NBCHS.
