In the morning draw for the New Horizons Feb. 12 it was Korpach against Wisner on the first sheet. The game was 3-3 after five, but then Korpach gave up steals on six and seven and was three down coming home. That was too much to overcome and he gave up his first loss.

On sheet two it was Gorden Hagen with a six-point lead after six. He dropped two in the seventh but went on to an easy win over the Peter Pauls rink.

Wayne Lambie also led by six after the fifth and went on to an easy victory.

During the lunch break, Norm Soiseth gave a cheque to Bernie Meisner, and in a sizable amount. This was for the New Horizons from his friend and neighbor Murray Taylor. Now, Taylor has not curled with the club since he left the Granite due to a fall.He has, however, kept track of each draw and continues to be a supporter of the New Horizons. The club is grateful for his generous donation.

In the afternoon, Rod Forester was still in fine form as he made a cold draw to the button in the first end of his game against Dick Horrell. But it was not to be. Each end had 10 or more rocks in the house and yet no big ends were scored.

On the next sheet it was Hall versus Krismer. It was the sixth end that put a smile on the faces of the Krismer rink when they scored a big five and went on to win.

The Kjargaard/Scott matchup was a queer one because there were nothing but ones and twos on the board.Scott scored the twos and Kjargaard the ones.

Wally Gordey wasn't there to see his team be one up coming home on Doug Belyk.Belyk didn't have the last rock and was light on his first draw, racked the guard on his second and left the alternate skip Allan Rogers with a smile on his face.
