Regular, exciting action

In the morning draw for the New Horizons Feb. 26, Rogers started off with one, they then gave up on a couple of ends but came back to win over Kjargaard by scoring three ends in a row. We will have to tell Sven that movable guards don't usually work.

We will also have to tell Wally Gordey that it is not usually a game of strength but one of precise weight. The game was tied up coming home at 5-5, but he slid by Wayne's rock that was on the button, which was well guarded.

In the third game, you would think that starting off with four in the first end was enough. Follow that with a two, three and one and you would get the impression that the Eugene Korpach rink of John Foster, Donna Yahn and Myra Devonshire were greedy.

In the afternoon it was a close game between Forester and Scott until Alexander racked up a four in the seventh. Was that the end? Oh, no it wasn't!Rod threw his last rock of the season and had a chance of scoring six but the take-out of the Scott rock racked, and he had to settle for two.

On sheet five, it was give and go for the first six ends with the Krismer rink leading by one. The game broke loose and later and they scored four against the Doug Belyk rink and held the lead for the win.

On sheet six, there was only the one two-ender and that wasn't needed for a Wisner win over Horrell. He just kept steeling one each end until the finish.

On the last sheet, a lot of ones were scored until the fifth end when Hall got a big five. The teams exchanged twos until the end of the game.
