Rink advance to Scotties from northern, southern playdowns

The board has been set. Over the weekend, eight more teams qualified for the SaskPower Provincial Scotties Tournament of Hearts, to be hosted by the Humboldt Curling Club, January 25-29.

Over the weekend, eight more teams qualified for the SaskPower Provincial Scotties Tournament of Hearts, to be hosted by the Humboldt Curling Club, January 25-29.
The eight teams advanced from the southern and northern playdowns, held over the January 14-15 weekend, and will join four more teams selected in December at the Scotties in Humboldt.
Three of the 12 teams at the tournament will have local Humboldt connections.
For instance, the Humboldt-based rink led by Jolene Campbell, which was awarded a berth to the Scotties in December includes Marysburg native Meagan Clark (Strueby).
Also, Sarah Collin of Bruno is playing with the Trish Paulsen rink, another which was was awarded a berth in December.
And finally, Linda Kloschinsky, the daughter of John and Josie Krueger of Humboldt is playing with the Gillies team from Kerrobert, who advanced out of the northern playdowns this weekend.
Below is a complete list of the teams who will play off at Provincials.
Teams advancing from the southern playdowns held in Weyburn include:
Chantelle Eberle: third Nancy Inglis, second Debbie Lozinski, lead Susan Hoffart; Callie Curling Club, Regina.
Mandy Selzer: third Erin Selzer, second Kristen Mitchell, lead Megan Selzer; Balgonie Curling Club.
Candace Chisholm: third Brooklyn Lemon, second Natalie Bloomfield, lead Kristy Johnson; Maryfield Curling Club.
Susan Lang: third Linda Burnham, second Donna Ell, lead Pat Bell; Callie Curling Club, Regina.
Teams advancing from the northern playdowns held in Prince Albert include:
Rachel Fritzler: third Ashley Quick, second Amy Merkosky, lead Alyssa Johns; Granite Curling Club, Saskatoon.
Jill Shumay: third Kara Johnston, second Taryn Holtby, lead Jinaye Ayrey; Nutana Curling Club, Saskatoon.
Darlene Gillies: third Linda Kloschinsky, second Wanda Heitt, lead Tracy Heidt; Kerrobert Curling Club.
Robyn Silvernagle: third Kelsey Dutton, second Dayna Demmans, lead Cristina Goertzen; Meadow Lake Curling Club.
Four berths had already been awarded to teams from the Saskatchewan Women's Curling Tour in December. These included:
Jolene Campbell: third Melissa Hoffman, second Maegan Clark, lead Michelle McIvor; Humboldt Curling Club.
Stefanie Lawton: third Sherry Anderson, second Sherri Singler, lead Marliese Kasner; Granite Curling Club, Saskatoon.
Michelle Englot: third Lana Vey, second Roberta Materi; lead Sarah Slywka; Tartan Curling Club, Regina.
Trish Paulsen: third Kari Kennedy, second Sarah Collin, lead Tessa Ruetz; Nutana Curling Club, Saskatoon.
Lawton, Campbell and Englot were the three highest-ranked Saskatchewan teams on the Canadian Team Ranking System, and Paulsen was the top Saskatchewan Women's Curling Tour team.
