The annual Women's Battle River Rocker bonspiel packed the Battleford Curling Club last weekend, with 12 teams taking part.

Although there were definitely some serious games, the ample laughter showed that girls really do know how to have fun.

It was the Smart team taking top place, with skip Ocean Smart, third Alana Horn, second Deanne Almund and lead Leanne Clayton.

The Smart team was the underdog in the playoff draw, having won two out three games in the round robin, compared to the Schommer and Clark teams, both of whom won all three.

In the second event, the Love team, comprised of skip Alana Love, third Kristi Frolek, second Leona Sharpe and lead Frances Anderson, came out on top, battling the Voinorosky team for the spot.

The third and fourth events were won by the Doom and Russell teams, respectively.
