SaskPower Scotties Tournament of Hearts

The official opening ceremonies and the first draw of the SaskPower Scotties Tournament of Hearts Women's Provincial Curling Championships were held the evening of January 25.

A piper, Const. Carla Olsen and three junior curlers carrying flags led the teams in for the opening ceremonies. The teams stood on two sheets of ice for the entire ceremony, which included speeches from dignitaries and the throwing of the first rock.


The official opening ceremonies and the first draw of the SaskPower Scotties Tournament of Hearts Women's Provincial Curling Championships were held the evening of January 25.

All four sheets of ice were hopping with activity for the second draw of the tournament, which began at 7:30 p.m. on January 25. On ice D, the Trish Paulsen rink out of Saskatoon, which includes Bruno native Sarah Collin, took on the Candace Chisholm rink from Maryfield. Paulsen won 8-4.
