The final four teams remaining in the North Saskatchewan River Baseball League wasted no time in setting up their semifinal schedules.

Tuesday, the Meadow Lake White Sox won 12-2 over the Border City Blue Jays to be the fourth and final team to advance to the second round of the playoffs. Within the hour of finishing the game, the semifinal schedules were set.

The Meadow Lake win means the 12-2 White Sox will face the 8-6 Wilkie Brewers, who ended up in fifth place after the regular season.

The series was set to start Thursday with Wilkie heading to Meadow Lake. Game two will be played Tuesday in Wilkie with game three set for Thursday in Meadow Lake, if necessary.

In the one game between Meadow Lake and Wilkie this season, the White Sox went into Wilkie and won 8-0. Quincey Winkler had 15 strikeouts in the game for Meadow Lake.

In the other semifinal, the first place, and defending league champion, Lloydminster Meridian Twins (12-2) will face the sixth place Unity Cardinals (8-6).

This series was also scheduled to start Thursday with the Twins at home to Unity.

Game two is scheduled for Monday in Unity with a possible game three scheduled for Tuesday back in Lloydminster.

The Twins beat the Cardinals 13-0 in the lone matchup between the two teams this season, while Unity used a midget aged player to pitch in five of six innings against the league's top team.
