Put the brooms away. There won't be any series sweeps in the Saskatchewan Prairie Hockey League semifinals.

The Cut Knife Colts continued to upset top teams, as they beat the Battleford Beaver Blues 2-1 in overtime. That celebration didn't last long, as the Beaver Blues went to Cut Knife and earned the 5-0 win Friday.

Saturday back on home ice, the Beaver Blues put four first period goals by Cut Knife's Dallas Sperle and skated to a 7-2 win to go up 2-1 in the best-of-five series.

The Colts host the Beaver Blues Friday in game four.

In the other semifinal series, Perdue and Glaslyn are knotted up with one win each. The Perdue Pirates won the first game of the series in Glalsyln, then the North Stars returned the favour with a 4-2 win in Perdue Friday. Ashton Dymytryshyn had two goals and an assist to help the North Stars tie the series.

Game three is scheduled for Friday in Glalsyn, with game four set to go in Perdue Saturday.
