The Flats will be filled with action on the weekend and some impressive softball.
Battlefords Minor Softball and the Battlefords Bantam Bandits are hosting the Bantam B Provincial Championships.
Twelve teams from across the province including the Bandits and Unity Panthers, who played in the Battlefords and District Ladies' Fastball League will be in action. Joining the local teams will be five Saskatoon teams (Phantoms, Hustlers Hounds, Falcons, Hustler Storm and Hustler Fury), Rosetown, Martensville, Moose Creek, Melville, Weyburn and Wynyard.
The softball action begins Friday at 2 p.m. The Bandits first game is Friday at 6:30 p.m.
After 18 round robin games are played, the top two teams in all three divisions will advance to the playoffs, which begin Sunday at 9 a.m.
The Bandits roster includes Shayln Fedler, Keinyn Nordell, Tiandra Ewanchuk, Hanna Beatch, Jesse Schmidt, Kennedy Schaefer, Bailey Lamontagne, Kirsty Kindrachuk, Kalie Nordell, Taylor Cave, Shallen McNabb, Blayne Nichol and Leah Campbell. Rod Fedler, Leon Schmidt and Karrie Nordell coach the Bandits.
