Heading into the North Saskatchewan River Baseball League's annual general meeting Sunday, the biggest topic up for discussion was if the Cold Lake would join the league.
That didn't happen, but there was a bit of a change in the teams who will play in the league in 2013. Back in this season will be the Lloydminster Midget Twins. That makes it five teams in the league from Lloydminster. The Kindersley Raiders took a leave of absence for the upcoming season meaning the division had to be reformatted for scheduling.
The North Battleford Beavers will play in a division with the Wilkie Brewers, Unity Cardinals and Mervin Flyers.
The all Lloydminster division will feature the defending champions Lloydminster Meridian Twins, Border City Blue Jays, Lloydminster Junior Redhawks and Lloydminster Midget Twins.
The third division will feature the Meadow Lake Stampeders, Standard Hill Lakers, St. Walburg Reds and Midwest Expos.
Each team will play 14 games consisting of a home-and-home set with their divisional rivals and one game against the remaining eight teams.
The regular season is set to start May 21 and finish July 12 with playoffs tentatively scheduled to start July 17.
The league schedule should be released by the end of April.
