For the second straight year, Robyn Silvernagle will be playing for a chance to represent Saskatchewan at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts.
Her Twin Rivers Curling Club rink, which includes third Jolene Campbell, second Dayna Demers and lead Kara Thevenot, advanced into Sunday's final with an 8-2 win over Regina's Chantelle Eberle in the 1 vs. 2 Page playoff game Saturday evening at the Northern Lights Palace in Melfort.
Having finished first in the round-robin with a 7-1 record, Silvernagle's squad got a measure of revenge over an Eberle rink that beat them in the first draw of the tournament.
After a scoreless first four ends, Silvernagle got a three-ender in the fifth and a steal of one point in the sixth to take a 4-0 lead.
After Eberle picked up two points in the seventh frame, Silvernagle got a single in the eighth end and earned a steal of three in the ninth to round out the scoring.
Silvernagle's opponent in the provincial title game at 5 p.m. is Saskatoon's Sherry Anderson, who defeated Eberle in Sunday's semifinal by a score of 6-5 in an extra end.
The two sides previously squared off on Wednesday afternoon, where Silvernagle picked up a 7-4 win.
Anderson kept her Scotties hopes alive Saturday night as she edged out defending provincial champion Penny Barker of Moose Jaw by a score of 4-3 in the 3 vs. 4 Page playoff game.
Barker, who beat Silvernagle in last year's final, advanced to the playoffs with a 4-3 win over Saskatoon's Stefanie Lawton in a tiebreaker game held Saturday afternoon.
The provincial champion will go on to represent Saskatchewan at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, which will be held in Penticton, B.C. from Jan. 27 to Feb. 4.
