Heading into the final day of round-robin play at the Viterra Scotties provincial women's curling championship in Melville, Robyn Silvernagle finds herself at the top of the standings.
Her Twin Rivers Curling Club rink, which features third Dayna Demers, second Cristina Goertzen and lead Kara Thevenot, has a 5-1 record and are tied for first place in the standings with four-time provincial champion Stefanie Lawton of Saskatoon.
Silvernagle won her first four games of the event but suffered her first loss Thursday afternoon in a 5-3 affair with Saskatoon's Nancy Martin.
She bounded back in the evening draw as she scored two points in the 10th end to pick up a 7-6 win over Balgonie's Mandy Selzer.
Silvernagle will play in two games today to conclude her round-robin schedule and clinch a spot in Saturday's 1 vs. 2 Page playoff game.
Her rink will take on Moose Jaw's Penny Barker at 2 p.m. before going up against Lawton at 7:30 p.m.
Heading into Friday's action, Biggar's Brett Barber sits in third place in the standings with a 4-2 record, while Martin has the fourth and final playoff spot with a 4-3 mark.
Barker is in fifth place at 3-3 with Regina's Chantelle Eberle and Saskatoon's Sherry Anderson tied for sixth with 2-4 records.
Selzer sits in eighth place with a 2-5 mark while Kronau's Kim Schneider rounds out the field with a 1-5 record.
The provincial final will take at 5 p.m. Sunday, with the winner representing Saskatchewan at next month's Scotties Tournament of Hearts in St. Catharines, Ont.
