The Sherwood Conference playoff matches have been made while there is still one question mark in the Bauer Conference.

Humboldt will take the top spot with the North Stars in second and Flin Flon in fifth, but the battle to stay out of the survivor series is heating up in the Bauer Conference.

In the Sherwood Conference, Weyburn will take the top spot and face the winner of the survivor series between Estevan and Notre Dame. Yorkton and Melville will face off in the conference semifinal, but home ice advantage hasn't been determined yet.

Along with the playoff matchups being known in the Sherwood Conference, two players from the south earned weekly SJHL honours.

Weyburn's Coltyn Sanderson was the player of the week. He had a six-point game against Kindersley and added one more point during the week to earn the praise. Melville's Jesse Mireau and Ian McNulty were honourable mentions along with Weyburn's Jesse Ross, Humboldt's Ryan Marshall, Kindersley's Austin McDonald, Yorkton's Jeremy Johnson and Notre Dame's Todd Christian.

Yorkton's Brady Norrish was named the defenceman of the week with three points in four games in his rookie season. Brandt Weldon of Flin Flon, Kameron Ballas of Humboldt and Mitch Boucher of Notre Dame were the honourable mentions for the defenceman of the week.

Between the pipes, Davis Jones of Nipawin was named the goaltender of the week. Jones was 2-1 during the week and had a 1.34 goals against average. Warren Shymko of Yorkton, Ty Reichenbach of Notre Dame and Andy Desautels of Flin Flon were the honourable mentions.

In the Canadian Junior Hockey League's weekly rankings, the North Stars did just enough to hold on to a spot in the rankings. The North Stars dropped from 16th to 20th while Weyburn fell out of the top 20 and were honourable mentions.

Humboldt moved from second to third in the rankings. Spruce Grove of the AJHL moved from third to second while Penticton of the BCHL remains in first place.

The SJHL regular season will come to an end Tuesday.
