Dec. 7, the Cut Knife Colts hosted the Hafford Mustangs. The Mustangs had lost one game so far this season and the Colts were thus far undefeated. The Mustangs managed to unseat the Colts, though it took them until a shootout to do it. Jordan Noble and Brayden Bertoia scored for the Colts, with Shane Gopher and Kyle Rivett notching goals for the Mustangs.

Last Wednesday also saw the Perdue Pirates, who have yet to win a game, host the Radisson Wheatkings, who were 0 and 1 on the season. The Wheatkings put the Pirates away handily, with seven goals total from Phil Barbour, Kelly Cronin, Dana Derbowka, Andrew Peeyachew and Brad Wanner. Blaine Mirasty notched two for the Wheatkings.

Scoring for the Pirates were Garrett Poletz and Clark McNulty, who scored two.

Saturday, the Spiritwood Timberwolves hosted the Battleford Beaver Blues, and defeated them 3-1. Ryan Turgeon, Quentin Tipewan and Tyson Turgeon scored goals for the Timberwolves and Keegan Sparrow scored the Beaver Blues' only goal. The game put the Timberwolves second in the league standings, with three wins and one loss, and left the Beaver Blues in a three-way tie for third place with four total points.

Also on Saturday, the Glaslyn North Stars hosted the Radisson Wheatkings. The Wheatkings again managed to improve their record in a 6-5 win in regulation. Radisson's Frankie Moosomin was the big star of the game, notching four goals and one assist, his first points of the season. Other Radisson scorers included Curtis Wuttunee and Aric Burgmaier, while Kyle Esquirol, Mathew Arsenault, Dallas Abbott, Trent McNabb and Brett Night notched goals for the North Stars. The win for Radisson moved them 2-1, while Glaslyn remained winless in their first two games.

Tuesday saw a high-scoring game in Perdue with the Battleford Beaver Blues. The Beaver Blues were victorious, by a score of 10-6, with Keegan Sparrow scoring four goals, Scott Maunula and Daxin Collins scoring two and Jordan Keller and Jody Rudyck scoring one each for Battleford. Kevin Fick scored twice for Perdue, with Lucas Fortier, Mike Gray, Clark McNulty and Travis Poletz each netting one. Clark McNulty also had four assists in a game that saw 60 minutes of penalties handed out. The Beaver Blues win assured that Perdue remained winless in their first five games of the season, and moved Battleford to a tie with Spiritwood for second place in the league. Both teams are 3-1 on the season, as the first-place Cut Knife Colts have lost only once in a shootout.
