The Humboldt Curling Club will be playing host this week to an event linked to the Saskatchewan Senior Fitness Association Provincial Games, to be held in Humboldt July 8-10.
Most of the events are being held in July, but the curling ice will be long gone by then, so curling will be happening months in advance of the rest of the events. There will be 19 teams from across the province competing in two divisions - one for people over the age of 65, one for people between 55 and 64. The event opens on March 19 at 1 p.m., with opening ceremonies to follow the first set of games. On March 20 games will be taking place all day, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 21 is the final day of competition and will feature at least two final matches.
